1937 Greater Texas & Pan American Expo Dallas Season Pass 25 Admissions Male

$ 13.2

Availability: 100 in stock

Description

For your consideration:  an adult season pass to the Greater Texas and Pan American Exposition held in Dallas, Texas in 1937  (one year after the centennial).  The season pass was good for 25 admissions, of which the ticket holder used 19.  Photo of owner, W. F. Scott, is attached, and has been protected by "franking" by issuing agent.
The card stock ticket is cream colored with red and blue printing.  The front depicts the Tower Building, located at Fair Park (built in Dallas for the 1936 Centennial) with the words "Greater Texas & Pan American Exposition 1937 / 25 Admission Ticket / Dallas - June 12 - Oct. 31".  The ticket's back shows a red globe emblem of the Pan Am Expo Fair, with words "Dallas / June 12 - Oct. 31 / 1937".
This ticket is one of a pair I acquired from a Dallas estate.  See my other items for the season pass belonging to Flossie Bowland, whom, one assumes, was Mr. Scott's female companion.  These tickets are being sold separately.
Ticket measures 5" x 3.75", excluding the punched section, of which approximately 3/8" remains.  The card stock folds over, so pocket size is  2.5" x 3.75"
The item listed is being sold as is, as pictured and as described to the best of my knowledge.  If you have a question on an item prior to purchase, please ask. Remember, when buying vintage expect imperfections as these items have a history and have been in the possession of others. I try to list EVERY flaw which would be commented on something in an antique or vintage condition – this does not mean all imperfections resulting from normal wear & use require comment. My goal is to have no rude surprises upon receipt.
Please see "About me" for the contract  legalese.  Boring, I know, but essential. Always happy to pass through discounts on combined shipping.
