Custom made faux Roman shade - also called mock or fake Roman shade valance.
Faux Roman shade valances give the appearance of a Roman shade, but they do not
move up and down. The back has hand-sewn rings. The valance can be straightened out
for ease in dry cleaning. The valances have 3 folds.
Valance is 20 inches long with a 2.5 inch rod pocket.
The lining is white black out lining.
The lining gives protection from the sun, adds fullness to the valance and
looks nice from the outside.
The valance can be mounted inside the window frame or on the outside.
If you are using an inside mount, the window frame must be 2.5 -3 inches deep.
A tension rod would be great.
If you are using an outside mount valance, the curtain rod needs to extend 2-3 inches
past the window frame. It is best to use a curtain rod with finials on the ends.
Please measure the exact width you will need for your valance, and let me know.
I will make the valance 1/4 inch smaller than your measurement to make sure the
valance is smooth and flat. I will respond and make sure all measurements are
correct before making your faux Roman shade valance.
Please choose the color of ticking fabric that you like and include that information
with your exact measurements. See the pictures for choices.
