Description

This is great antenna wire for making a dipole or end fed antenna.  It is very Tuff and light.   That's Carlisle / Tensolite calls it Tufflite. 18 Gauge can easily do full power on a dipole (1500 watts PEP), and against the sky, this color is nearly invisible from 70 feet away.
Great for people trying to put up a hidden antenna, or backpackers. 135' length.
The wire will come in a bag, you don't get the spool.   It will be a coil zip tied that you can easily unwind by using your two fingers on the inside of the coil to unroll it.  It is white with a black stripe in color.
It is rated for a temperature of 150 degrees C (302 F)
It is rated for 600 Volts, the conductor is Tin coated Copper.
In  the  early  1990s,  Carlisle  Interconnect  Technologies  (then Tensolite®) developed composite insulated Tufflite® to  address  the  critical  weaknesses  of  existing  airframe  wire designs. Other constructions such as polyimide and XL-ETFE failed to provide a good balance of properties in areas such as arc resistance, weight, size, temperature performance,   smoke   generation   and   flammability.      Tufflite® addresses the need for a small, lightweight, arc resistant, 260° rated general purpose wire. For over a decade, Tufflite® has been tested and flown on  thousands  of commercial and military aircraft.  Its  superior smoke, flame and toxicity performance enables it to be used safely in both pressurized and non-pressurized zones  of  the  aircraft.  Tufflite®’s  wide  temperature  range and overall balance of properties make it an ideal replacement  for  all  other  general-purpose  wire  types,  both  military  and  commercial.
TL is a multi-purpose normal weight wire which exhibits exceptional performance characteristics within the range of the critical parameters in airframe applications.
You can make a center fed dipole, an end fed half wave, or a random length wire with a 9:1 UNUN.   The key is the wire can support its own weight, and also the coax.  It's Tuff Stuff.   With the Teflon coating, it should also be very UV resistant.
