This is a box style 48' level with three bubbles and a 48' rule down one side. The numbers on the rule are etched, they should last a long time. The level is solid construction and will last a lifetime with a little care. The bubbles are easy to read and carefully placed in the body of the level to stay in place. A good addition to my group of levels. I use it for layout when doing rough carpentry. The rule is handy to have with the level instead of reaching for a tape measure.
