  • Condition: Bakelight handle functions and is not cracked. The whole thing still works and have no serious damage. Very mild bending around the top rim. This piece is in remarkable condition. Right now it has lots of surface rust on it which enhances the look. It could easily be cleaned off but that would ruin it, in my opinion. The snowman painted on the side has rust peeking through the paint. This is really for display purposes even though it still functions.

    Description

    This is a three cup flour sifter made by Bromwell in the USA.
    This rustic American made flour sifter still works and the screen inside is perfectly shaped and intact with no holes in it.  If you are going to use it then you need to have the rust cleaned off.  There are products to do this with.
    I would leave this rusty old thing just the way it is.  It looks perfect for decoration purposes.  I love the little snowman someone hand painted on the side. After holiday season is over just turn it the other way to display the side with the handle instead of the snowman.
    Surprisingly, the bake-light plastic handle is not cracked and functions perfectly.  I just love this old sifter and imagine that it is at least 70 years old.
    It weighs 5.4 ounces. Stands almost 6 inches tall.  The width at the rim is about 4 and 1/4 inches.  The width including the big handle is more like 6 inches.
