    Description

Do you live in an antenna restricted home, condo or apartment?
Are you not active on VHF/UHF because of these restrictions?
If the answer is "Yes" and you have made or purchased a 1/2 inch Copper J-Pole from me or one of my eBay competitors, then you are on the right track for getting back on the air.
How do you mount the J-Pole...stand it up in a corner...lean it against some furniture? Those probably don't work too well. My eBay listings for the antennas show a base I made that several people have asked if it is for sale....well...now it is.
    BUT WAIT
...you can make it yourself....just take a close look at the photos and "get 'er done." Below is a list of what you need to make it."
    Piece of wood 8x8 inches
Table saw to cut the wood
Belt sander to sand the wood
Dust mask to avoid inhaling the dust
Safety glasses to protect your eyes
Ear plugs to mute the sound of the machines
    Router to round the edges
Shop vac to suck up the saw dust
Air compressor to blow off what the Shop vac missed
PVC pipe flange (3/4 inch so the 1/2 J-Pole will fit in it)
    3/4 inch PVC pipe
Tape measure to measure the PVC pipe and wood
"Centering ruler" to find the center of the wood
Miter saw to cut the PVC pipe
    2 #10 one inch screws
Drill to attach the screws to the pipe flange
If you have all of these items, go ahead and make it.. It ain't rocket science if you have all of these items.
HOWEVER, IF YOU DON'T HAVE ALL OF THESE TOOLS, THEN THIS ITEM IS WHAT YOU NEED.
Oh, I forgot, it comes partially unassembled, so there is some work you have to do....you will have to insert the PVC pipe into the opening in the stand. DUH ! That takes about 5 seconds. (It does not screw in, so it is easily inserted and removed.)
Thanks for your interest, and putting up with my humor, and be sure to check out my other ham radio items....the copper J-poles mentioned above for 1.25, 2.0 meters, MURS, and NOAA are all available as separate listings. And of course take a look at the personalized oak callsigns that are the perfect addition for your shack. Click on " see other items" to see them.
