Unun 1:64 - 1-49 variable For End Fed Half-Wave (EFHW) antenna 200+W. I'm further expanding my product line to include an alternate style of ferrite core. These employ a FT240-43 toroid core wound with #16 wire. I see a market for this size as the only other sellers I have found offers similar sized versions that ship from France and kit form from Asia. My units will do 200+ watts which is adequate for many. My price point and economy shipping should be attractive as well. As they are wound with a higher impedance ratio, they need to be used with the appropriate half wave antenna length. What works for me is 110 ft (approx) for 75 meters and 64 ft for 40 meters..20 meters as well with the addition of a few feet of wire. The tuning comes in at 1.2:1 on 40 and 80 and 1.3 on 20. (middle of bands). Removing a couple of high side turns helps minimize SWR on 20. Will get better tuning on higher bands with addition of 100pf cap, (3 kv now included and installed). Tested at 200 watts and works very well with no discernible heat generated (SSB). Can be ordered with either 2:16 or 3:24 turns ratios. If not specified, will be with the conventional 2:16 winding ratio. I found that the unconventional 3:24 ratio provided incrementally better VSWR readings 10m with the cap and on 75m without. Slightly harder to modify ratio though. Also have BNC connectors available on request.
