Vintage 1 qt., brass,
LA FRANCE NO. 6
,  fire extinguisher. Manufactured by The American - La France - Foamite Corporation, Elmira, N.Y. No patent, but definitely post 1928 as that is when ALF added Foamite to its name through the acquisition of the O.J. Childs Co. I believe the date is somewhere between 1928 and 1945.
The extinguisher has been machine buffed, hand polished, and clear coated. The extinguisher is
EMPTY
and the pump handle does move in and out, but it is being sold as a collectible item only. It is in very good condition with some minor paint loss to the label and only a few minor pin head size indentations (see pics) on the body. Measures approx. 14" tall x 3" in diameter.
I will not accept any bids, or offers, from buyers with a feedback rating of less than 10.
Unless my items are listed as New or MIB (Mint In Box/Bag) they are used, so expect there to be some wear and signs of usage.
